This session students learn how to read treble clef notes and play quarter, eighth and half note rhythms. Five note scale patterns are practiced. The session ends with students learning trios of familiar songs, this time learned from notation. Studying the trios improves their listening, reading and performing skills and prepares them for continued study using traditional methods.
